The Thomas Family.

0

I was happy to have scheduled to Thomas family during thanksgiving break.  The warm fall weather seems to have hung around longer than expected and I am glad to take advantage of it.   Weymouth Gardens in Southern Pines is where we agreed to meet for the family photos.  The area is not as colorful during the fall as springtime, but there are still some nice areas to setup some poses.

A little Moree is on the way.

A few weeks ago I saw some good friends and I noticed Joey’s odd facial expressions when M.K. was telling that we HAD to plan to shoot some photos during thanksgiving break.   A couple of weeks later we made the arrangements to meet at Weymouth Gardens in Southern pines for their session.  As I had expected, M.K. is expecting!   congratulations to the Moree family and i hope that new addition loves ice-cold milk and Christmas tunes! (inside joke)

Hangin out at the lake with Morgan, Devin & Rocky.

Morgan works at one of my favorite restaurants called Fuji Grill.  I am eat from there frequent enough that they recognize my phone number when I call in and tell me what  want.  they get it right every time! Morgan has asked me several times about shooting some photos for her and we finally were able to arrange a session.  I was aware of a pet, bu didnt know the Big Dog was coming.   Rock might look a bit intimidating but rumor is, he is afraid of crickets.   he was very nice to me and obeyed every command.  When this session ended i made the call to Fuji to order lunch.

I was lucky this fall to have so many warm days available for photo sessions. Frequent clients of mine, the Thompsons, always have some neat ideas for their fall sessions.   We got some new ideas for the next session wile we were shooting.  I’m looking forward to more time with this family.

Gattis family at the farm with a blue barn.

For several years I have admired a farm with a blue barn and have wanted to shoot a session at that location. Lucky for me the daughter in-law of the property owners called to schedule a session with the blue barn as a background.  I was very happy to have these arrangements and learned that i knew the property owner.  Small world!

Mike and Blairs engagement session at Atalaya and Brookgreen Gardens, S.C.

We met Mike and Blair at Atalaya and Brookgreen Gardens south of Murrils Inlet S.C.  There were several other sessions and cameras floating around the park as we moved throughout the area to capture some great shots for Mike and Blair. After a couple of hours of walking and shooting we still had enough daylight to walk to the beach for a few shots.

Amanda was prepared for her family photo session.   She knew exactly which poses she wanted and had props and help prepared for our photo session.

Coldwell Banker in the Studio.

I met with the Coldwell Banker ladies one evening at the studio to shoot some photos for their company Christmas card and current head shots for promotional materials. Millions of ideas were thrown around as suggestions during their photo session.   We got a nice collection of group photos.

Another warm fall day offered me the opportunity to photograph the Smith children outside around the Leak Wall Home and Gardens.

The Mabe Family in the Studio

Since the days are shorter and them temperatures are lower, I have  more requests for studio sessions than expected.   I am glad that I can provide an indoor location when the weather or lack of daylight doesn’t allow for an outside session.   The Mabe family came in ready to pose and we managed to get several combinations of the group photographed.
