Savannah’s Sr Pics

After a few months of communication with Savannahs mother, we finally were able to schedule a session.   During the session I learned that I was photographing the busiest teenage in the world.  I now realize now why it was difficult to schedule her photo session.  We were fortunate to have decent weather during Savannah’s photo session.   Winter weather returned during the few days following.   We agreed to meet at Weymouth Center in Southern Pines, NC.  Upon arrival I noticed that some tree removal was in process.  With the heavy equipment on the grounds, plenty of photography locations remained for us to use.  Best of luck to Savannah during her college career.

Rock n roll Bride

Working with Hlee.

Hlee contacted me several weeks ago requesting that I mentor her during her Senior school project.  After finding out about her topic and research I was happy to say “yes” and make arrangements to begin working with her.  Her project of comparing the tones and reactions between color and black and white photos sounded interesting to me.  After reading her initial report I could tell that Hlee had spend some time working on this project.  We planned several meeting to discuss various photos, shooting procedures and techniques.  Hlee also made herself available to assist me with several photo sessions to pick up some pointers in preparation for her project photos.   The session with her as the model allowed her to be in front of the camera while I explained, in detail, various methods for obtaining the desired photos.  We still have more work to do as Hlee finalizes her presentation and I look forward to seeing the final product.

Kierstan’s Senior Portraits

Kierstan met me at Hamlet Depot one evening to pose for her Senior Portraits. The days leading to this day were very warm and comfortable. However, the night before saw a cold front move in and it brought wind with it. Regardless of the unpleasant conditions, Kierstan hung in there and followed direction without any complaints. We were fortunate to be able to enter the Depot to warm up and capture a few additional shots.

Brandie and Houston

Brandie and Houston drove from Greensboro one evening for their photos session.  We met in Downtown Hamlet to shoot some couples photos for them.  While we shooting some random shots on a set of railroad tracks a freight train slowly approached us and stopped.  this could not have happened at a better time as if we had ordered it for the photo session.   I enjoyed working with the couple and look forward to working with them in the future.

Ashleigh’s Senior Portrait Session

I met Ashleigh at a local farm to shoot her senior photos on a beautiful summer afternoon.  I could see the yellow flowers as I was driving down the dirt road and knew that the field would be a first choice for posing.   The horses didn’t mind too much that we were on their turf.   Following a few poses in the flowers we went to a barn that was setup very nice for portraits.  The decorations and lighting were very cool and provided some great backdrops for us.  Very special thanks to Chris and Bobby for opening up the farm and their assistance during the photo session.

Hailey’s Senior Portrait Session

We had a beautiful summer day to shoot Hailey’s senior portraits.   Hailey was very calm and chose great colors for her wardrobe.   We moved at a steady pace and were able to cover three locations before the sun disappeared.

Shelby Grace is one year old!

Shelby Grace is one of the upcoming models that I have been shooting for a year.  She may not realize that she is a model, but when she gets older and see all of the photos of her she will figure things out.  One thing I have learned over the years while shooting kids is as they get older, they get faster! Shelby led me around for over an hour playing with anything she could reach or pickup.

Lenea and Wade’s Production.

For as long as I have know Lenea she has had a love for the stage and a variety of live entertainment.  Participating on the technical side of numerous events made Lenea want to produce her own wedding in similar fashion. Participants, costumes, lighting and sound are just a few of the elements of a live show.    Lenea and Wade applied similar elements to their wedding.  They were the characters of their own production on stage with special lighting and sound.  It was a great show that continued to the reception hall.  The time and effort appeared to be worth every minute.  Congratulations to you both!

Cottle Family

I was happy to receive a call from the Cottle family requesting my services to photograph their family.   I find it interesting to watch newborn twins interact with each other.  Little Emma also got a chance to do her own thing whole being photographed.  As with most children, she had a lot of energy and lead me around the playground without any time to stop and catch my breath.  Best wished to the young Cottle family.

Elise Senior Photo Session

I had the privilege of meeting Elise and her family in Cheraw South Carolina one evening to shoot Elise’s Senior photos.   Downtown Cheraw has several beautiful areas that we used.   It was interesting to me that Elise was an Audrey Hepburn fan and wanted to use a poster during her photo shoot.

A brave mother.

In my opinion, it takes a brave mother to wake up two boys early on a Sunday morning, dress them in white pants and expect them to stay clean during a photo shoot.  Sabrina managed to pull this task off and still make it to church on time.  Both boys, considering the time of day were full of energy and had a good time playing outside.

Spring Photos – Emma stole the show.

This was one of the first 2011 spring photo sessions for me.  Once cute, little Emma got warmed up to the camera it was on!  She  provided some great poses as well as candid opportunities for me to photograph.  We had a wonderful day for pics and thanks to Rita for calling me to shoot more photo for her.  I love repeat customers!  I look forward to the BIG family photo shoot.

Prom photos with Hayley. A year later.

Hayley has modeled for me several times in the past.  I had access to a local historical home around the same time Hayley contacted me about finding her old prom dress.  The model, dress and house were a great match.

Camryn’s photo shoot.

A few weeks prior to this photo shoot, I had a session with Camyn’s aunt Jami.  When Camryn saw Jami’s photos, she insisted on having a photo session of her own.    Camryn appeared to be very excited this morning of our photo session, but I later found out that she had a trip to Chuck E. Cheese’s on her schedule for the same day. Regardless she was great to work with and allowed me to get some great shots of her.

Shelby Grace. Baby Supermodel.

This session was the third with Little Shelby and she is, quickly, learning how to pose for photos. I look forward to working with her after she learns how to say some words. I’d love to know what she is thinking.
