Photography Classes – Fall 2017

I receive many photography questions via email and when out and about.  I enjoy meeting other camera enthusiasts and sharing what I have learned as a professional photographer.  During the classes, I will explain in detail various settings, techniques and tricks that I use during photo sessions and assignments.  The classes are informal and questions are encouraged.

COST- $25.00 per person per class.  ($80.00 for anyone signing up for all four classes by October 26th) Anyone 9 yrs or older is invited to attend the class.   Fees will be due upon arrival for class.

  • October 26th @ 6:00pm – Class One – Getting to know your camera and learning how to find the correct functions for your photography needs.
  • November 2nd @ 6:00pm – Class Two – Three main camera settings that you need to be aware of and understand.  Review for this class will continue during the following two classes.
  • November 9th @ 6:00pm – Class Three – Composition (8 techniques will be discussed)  and Action Photography
  • November 16th @ 6:00pm – Class Four – Landscape photography and Understanding Lighting Techniques

Be prepared for your class with the following:

          • Your camera.
          • The camera battery charged, and the camera instruction manual.
          • Pen and paper handy.
          • Questions ready.
          • Select photographs that you have questions about, and some of your “greatest hits.”

FAQs:

How long are the classes?  

Classes typically last 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

What do I do if I have questions when I am practicing between classes?

Do I need a DSLR camera to attend?

Class one will confirm what options most type of cameras within the class have available. The second class will require a camera with manual settings. Some point-and-shoot cameras have these settings. Classes three and four are good for any type of camera. Even smart phones!

Should I be prepared to take notes?

Yes. I will provide information during each class, but you may want to be ready to take notes as needed.

I want to take class with my daughter, do I need to pay for two people?

The fee is $25.00 per person, per class.   I offer private classes for $60.00 per hour.

Do I have to register online to attend?

No.  However, registration will allow me to be best prepared by knowing the number planning to attend.
